What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of funding supports for people with disabilities. The NDIS aims to assist people to make their own decisions about the support they receive and to have more choice and control in their life.

The NDIS will pay for supports that are reasonable and necessary for a participant to enjoy a normal life and achieve their personal goals. This may mean support to live independently, access the community, or purchase equipment that may be needed.

How Arafmi can help

Yes, Arafmi is a registered NDIS provider!

We are committed to supporting people living with psychosocial disabilities, their family members and carers through the NDIS access and registration process. We have successfully assisted many of our participants and their family members to navigate the process of transitioning to the NDIS and have the expertise required to ensure you get the most out of your NDIS funding package.

What does the NDIS process look like?

Arafmi has a dedicated team of people ready to assist you, and your family, with the NDIS process by stepping you through the registration, pre-planning, and planning stages of your application. We can work with you to identify and gather any relevant assessments and other evidence to support your application. We can also sit with you during your planning meeting, and provide support as you transition over to the NDIS.

How does the NDIS pricing work?

The NDIA sets the price for some supports to make sure they provide value for money for participants. Changes to prices are updated to respond to market trends and changes in costs and are generally identified through an Annual Price Review. Am I eligible for the NDIS?

Eligibility for the NDIS is determined case-by-case depending on the impact of a person’s condition on their day-to-day functioning. The best way for a person to test their eligibility is by applying for the NDIS.
