Carers Forum 2019 | Overview
On Tuesday, 15 October 2019 we held our Becoming Visible Carer Forum at the Brisbane Convention Centre. As with other years, the forum was held during National Carer’s Week which recognises and celebrates the contribution that Australia’s 2.7 million carers make to our nation.
We filled the day with many speakers, entertainment and opportunities for our carers to mingle and meet new and old friends. We even provided massage therapists for some much needed relaxation time!
The feedback we have received has been nothing but positive and we would like to thank all of our carers who attended and contributed to the day.
To our speakers, entertainers and stallholders we offer our sincerest gratitude. The success of our forum is a culmination of everybody’s contributions and it wouldn’t have been the same without you.
Remember, you are not alone. We understand the difficulties that mental health carers face and provide 24-hour phone support to anyone who is caring for or about a relative or friend with a psychosocial disability.
You can call our Arafmi team any time of the day on 1300 554 660 or
07 3254 1881 and speak to someone who understands.
If you attended our 2019 Carer Forum, we would love to hear from you. Please follow the link, leave your comments and help us improve on our next forum!
